DEICIDE's Backstage Room Vandalized By Opening Band In California
November 9, 2006Floridian death metallers DEICIDE have been diligently blazing though the U.S. in full support of their latest album, "The Stench of Redemption", and are preparing to release their second live DVD, due in February 2007. In an unexplained act of vandalism on November 8 at The Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana, California DEICIDE fell victim to vandalism of their personal property. During DEICIDE's set, a member of one of the opening acts allegedly vandalized DEICIDE's prep room — subsequently damaging the band's personal property as well as the club's property. DEICIDE "will be following up with legal action against this individual, as will the management of The Galaxy Theater," according to a press release. Soldiering on, DEICIDE will be wrapping up the U.S. end of the tour with DESOLATION and entering the Mexican leg of the tour in late November.
DEICIDE recently issued its first full-length live DVD, "When London Burns", to critical acclaim. The band's brand new brutal offering, "The Stench of Redemption", was released in August via Earache Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix" was recorded at Morrisound in Tampa, Florida and marks the first recording with the new DEICIDE lineup following the departure of the Hoffman brothers.
